Roblox may add Meta Quest by the end of 2023

According to the North American technology website The Verge, Roblox could join Meta by the end of 2023. The announcement could occur due to the 'crash' faced by metaverse platforms in 2022. Formerly the CEO of Roblox, Dave Baszucki has already considered integrating Mark Zuckerberg's virtual reality system with the Quest headset.

One of the most popular metaversonic platforms in the world, Roblox suffered sudden financial losses in 2022, despite having a solid user base. According to the company's balance sheet for the third quarter of last year, the company's shares fell by 13%, and there was a loss of US$297,8 million in its accounts.

Taking into account that Meta also accumulated an exorbitant loss in the same period, something that amounts to around three billion dollars, the deal would be of broad interest to both parties. 



In 2021, Baszucki, CEO of Roblox, has already I had said that the virtual reality platform Quest, from Meta, makes “perfect sense for Roblox”. Roblox currently works on other virtual reality headsets, such as HTC Vive, Valve Index and Oculus Rift, however having the partnership of the North American giant, which has been labeled as one of the largest investors in the metaverse in the world, could add a good fan base to the platform.

For enthusiasts on duty, it is expected that the partnership announcement Come along with the announcement of Meta Quest 2, a new headset in production from the owner of Facebook. It is worth mentioning that Roblox has been establishing frequent partnerships with companies from the most diverse areas to engage its user base.
