Roblox may add Meta Quest by the end of 2023

One of the most popular metaversonic platforms in the world, Roblox suffered sudden financial losses in 2022, despite having a solid user base. According to the company's balance sheet for the third quarter of last year, the company's shares fell by 13%, and there was a loss of US$297,8 million in its accounts. 

Taking into account that Meta also accumulated an exorbitant loss in the same period, something that amounts to around three billion dollars, the deal would be of broad interest to both parties. 

Metaverso will receive 20% of Meta's investments in 2023

Meta, one of the main players in the turn of the metaverse, will continue investing in the spatialization of the internet in 2023. According to the company, the total investment in Reality Labs, Meta's metaverse division, will represent 20% of general expenses.

In 2021, Baszucki, CEO of Roblox, has already I had said that the virtual reality platform Quest, from Meta, makes “perfect sense for Roblox”. Roblox currently works on other virtual reality headsets, such as HTC Vive, Valve Index and Oculus Rift, however having the partnership of the North American giant, which has been labeled as one of the largest investors in the metaverse in the world, could add a good fan base to the platform.

In just under three months the environment has already received more than a million visitors. There, Phillips promotes discussion around men's health, and within Roblox. In the environment, there is also an activation space called “Movember” to promote male physical and mental health among platform users.

The automobile industry has shown itself to be one of the biggest interested parties in the metaverse and web3. Further proof of this is the entry of South Korean Hyundai on Roblox. The company, which was the first to enter the NFT market through communities, is now launching its mobility experience on one of the most popular metaverse platforms. The initiative was updated last Friday (6) and already has more than 18 thousand likes on Roblox.
