São Paulo FC signs partnership with company to take club to the metaverse and web3 market

São Paulo entered into a partnership with Crypto Blockchain Industries (CBI), a French company specializing in web3, to integrate the Alphaverse metaverse.

  • The objective of the partnership is to give São Paulo fans access to innovative experiences and exclusive benefits in the virtual universe of Alphaverse, a metaverse in development.
  • Experiences include exclusive audiovisual content, immersive virtual reality, interactive games and attractive prizes.
  • The strategic partnership between São Paulo Futebol Clube and Crypto Blockchain Industries prometransform the interaction between fans and the club.
  • The deal was signed with a view to financial benefits for São Paulo. According to the official statement, the club will receive a fixed fee for the partnership. Furthermore, the team from São Paulo will have a share in the profits from sales on Alphaverse.
  • In general, fans will be able to enjoy a 3D virtual representation of the Morumbi Stadium, purchase virtual seats and receive real benefits, such as tickets, signed shirts and exclusive NFTs.
  • The Cotia Athlete Training Center and São Paulo Memorial will also be part of the project.
  • In a statement, São Paulo's innovation executive, Wladimir Castro, said that “in addition to developing unprecedented experiences for São Paulo fans in the Alphaverse virtual universe and also in real life, the partnership with CBI represents a new source of revenue for São Paulo, which is receiving a fixed amount for selling its spaces in the virtual environment and will also receive a percentage of the sales of SPFC's assets and experiences on Alphaverse”.
  • Also according to the statement, the project must be implemented and the construction of the environments must take place by 2024.
