The Sandbox wants to attract manga fans to the platform

A well-known manga and anime franchise called “First of the North Star” launched its first space in The Sandbox metaverse with a themed series. LAND will be called “End of the Century” and aims to attract fans of oriental art to the virtual environment. The manga from The Sandbox's newest partner is responsible for more than 100 million copies sold worldwide.

A Coamix Inc. and Minto Inc., owners of the Asian series, arrive at The Sandbox to offer a post-apocalyptic experience, just like what happens in the manga, for virtual reality. Thus, the space will allow players to experience the narrative in another way.

The story that inspires LAND takes place at the turn of the century when the protagonist fights against villains in a violent post-nuclear world. The companies involved will commercially explore the partnership by selling limited version non-fungible tokens.

“Fist of the North Star” author Tetsuo Hara said he is apprehensive about entering the environment: “Looking forward to seeing the world of the “Fist of the North Star” manga come to life in the new gaming metaverse. It's a little strange being a voxel, but I'm really looking forward to seeing Kenshiro and the rest of the Hokuto characters come to life and run wild,” said the manga writer, citing characters from the play.
