The inclusion of a machine learning stipulation is becoming increasingly common as companies begin to launch new AI services. In the case of X, the change comes as part of a broader strategy to compete with OpenAI, another AI company co-founded by Elon Musk, but which became the target of friction between the company's current boss, Sam Altman.

X's new privacy policy also includes references to the collection of user biometric information for security, safety and identification purposes. Users can opt out of this policy.

Additionally, the company announced that it plans to launch a job listing feature soon that would see verified organizations able to post listings on the site. This means users can share their information with potential employers.
