Ariane had been missing from the village where she lived for nine days, when her body was found last Sunday (11) and taken to the city's Community Emergency Care Station (Depac). The indigenous people themselves formed a task force to look for her and ended up finding her body on the rural property, close to the reservation.

In an advanced state of decomposition, the teenager's body was sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML).

Mobilization

The case of the young indigenous girl Kaiyowá had repercussions in social networks, where indigenous leaders raised the hashtag #Onde EstáAriane drawing attention to their disappearance and asking for reinforcements in the searchsystem. (State of Minas)

The family contacted the chief, responsible authorities and the indigenous community, the police and the Guardianship Council in the search for the girl. According to Ariane's mother reported to G1, she and her brother were playing with their cell phones when they heard someone knocking on the door. The girl went out to answer the question and after that she was no longer found.

Recidivism

The girl's mother stated that this was the young woman's second disappearance. A year ago, she had been taken, drugged and left in front of the house days later. After that, the family began to receive threats.
