'Carta da Terra' talks about Brazil's possible return to environmental leadership

The Earth Charter, published this week by Earth News, analyzes what the return of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to the Presidency of the Republic could mean for the environmental agenda in Brazil. With the whole world paying attention to the climate crisis, but having to deal with obstacles - such as the war in Ukraine - the interest shown by the elected president in the cause could mean Brazil's return to environmental leadership. The new government just needs to know not to waste opportunities.

A Earth Charter signals that Lula's participation in the COP27 – which starts next Sunday (06) – could represent a unique opportunity for Brazil to return to its role as climate superpower.
