Joe Biden

This Friday (11) the President of the United States, Joe Biden, spoke at COP27. On social media it was possible to see people sharing the queue to enter the auditorium. Tired just watching it!

Social media also did not forgive Biden's “twisted tongue” during the speech. 🤦‍♂️

Four protesters, holding a banner that said 'people versus fossils', interrupted the US president's speech. The moment was recorded by those in the audience.

It wasn't very happy...

The speech by the CEO of Occidental Petroleum, Vicki Hollub, caused outrage among part of the public present at COP27.

On a day when the conference's theme is decarbonization, she said that people calling for an end to the oil and gas industry "have no idea what that would mean" and that increasing extreme weather events such as the floods in Pakistan and the drought in the Horn of Africa, are the responsibility of individuals, not just the oil and gas industry.

Protests around the world

Doctors, pharmacists, nurses, scientists and medical students warn of an increase in patient deaths in the so-called “climate carnage”.

And it wasn't just in Egypt... protests took place all over the world.🌎
