Now, the Ministry of Agriculture advises that no company uses it in its production process. dtwo batches of propylene glycol raw material from the company Tecno Clean Industrial Ltda. The ministry, however, did not provide further details about the reason for suspending these batches.
Also according to the control body, companies that manufacture animal feed products registered with the Ministry of Agriculture must also identify products manufactured using these raw materials and, if found, must collect them from wholesale and retail trade.
“The procedures must be communicated to the inspection services for products of animal origin in each jurisdiction, for control and complementary actions by Mapa”, informs the government note.

The ministry also sent a letter to the Brazilian Association of the Pet Products Industry (Abinpet), the National Union of the Animal Feed Industry (Sindirações), the Brazilian Association of the Industry and Commerce of Food Ingredients and Additives (Abiam) and the Brazilian Association of Animal Recycling (Abra) so that they can collaborate in the dissemination of data among their members.
When contacted by the report, the entities have not yet commented, as has the company Tecno Clean Industrial Ltda.
