Climate change could cost Germany $1 trillion by 2050

The growth of extreme weather phenomena, which are consequences of climate change, could cost Germany a trillion dollars (around R$5,2 trillion) by 2050, according to a study commissioned by the federal government and published this Monday (6 ).

Therefore, the real costs of climate change must be “significantly larger” than study estimates.
