King Charles III asks Lula that Brazil takes care of the Amazon Rainforest

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said this Saturday (6), during a conversation with the press in London, that he heard from King Charles III, crowned this morning, a request for Brazil to take care of the Amazon Forest.

“The first thing the king told me was to take care of the Amazon,” said Lula. “But I said: 'I need help, a lot of resources'”, she added.

Last Friday (5), the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, announced that the country will invest in the Amazon Fund. The value will be 80 million pounds, around R$500 million. During a conversation with the press this Saturday, Lula also stated that he invited Sunak to visit Brazil in the coming months.
