According to a Camilla Guimarães, content and research coordinator at the Akatu Institute, conscious consumption is “consuming with better impact, consuming differently, without excess or waste, so that there is enough for everyone forever”.

  1. Why buy
  2. What to Buy
  3. How to buy
  4. Who to buy from
  5. How to use
  6. How to dispose

In this context, the expert talks about the project "First steps", which provides simple content and tips so that everyone can practice lower-impact consumption. There are 5 initial themes: water, food, biodiversity, climate crisis and waste.
