Kramatorsk City Hall announced a balance of 25 damaged buildings.

“The evil State continues to wage war against the civilian population, but it will be punished for these murders”, declared the Ukrainian president in a reference to Russia.

Kramatorsk, a city that had 150.000 inhabitants before the Russian offensive that began in February last year, is close to Bakhmut, the epicenter of fighting for several months.

Frequently bombed by the Russian army, Kramatorsk has served as a regional center since the occupation of Donetsk in 2014 by Russian and pro-Moscow forces.

On February 1, a bombing in the city left three dead.

In April 2022, a Russian missile hit the Kramatorsk station and killed nearly 60 civilians trying to flee the region.
