Tennis player Bia Haddad wins and is in the quarterfinals in Estonia

Brazilian tennis player Beatriz Haddad Maia secured a place in the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Talín, Estonia, this Wednesday (28). She defeated Czech Linda Noskova, 2 sets to zero.

Bia had a great performance in the first set, breaking her rival's serve at the first opportunity. The Brazilian still showed pace to avoid Noskova's reaction. The Brazilian athlete achieved success with scores of 6/1 and 7/5, in 1h29 of play.

The next challenge for the tennis player, 15th in the world rankings, will come from the confrontation between the Czech Barbora Krejcikova, number 27 in the world, and the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk.

Defeats in Brazilian tennis

Wednesday was not just a day of celebration for Brazilian tennis. Thiago Monteiro, champion of the Genoa Challenger, lost in his debut at the ATP 250 in Tel Aviv, after being defeated by Spaniard Pablo Andujar, by 2 sets to 0.
