On tour, Sam Altman shows confidence in world leaders for controlling AI risks

The CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, is on a world tour to discuss the risks of artificial intelligence technology. During his visit to Tel Aviv, Altman expressed satisfaction with world leaders' interest in controlling these risks. He also promoted the OpenAI and the ChatGPT.

Concern about the dangers of AI has been highlighted by scientists and industry leaders, including executives at Microsoft and Google. As countries around the world struggle to create regulations for AI technology, the European Union is leading the way with its proposed AI Law.

So far on the tour, Altman has met with world leaders including British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Altman highlighted the importance of utilizing the development of AI for the well-being of humanity.

Israel, recognized as a leader in technology, received a visit from Altman. The country has stood out in the industry, exporting notable technologies around the world. However, it also faces criticism due to the Israeli company NSO and its controversial spyware product, Pegasus.

Additionally, the Israeli military has used artificial intelligence for some tasks, such as crowd control procedures. Altman's tour will continue through Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, India and South Korea.
