Court suspends sale of iPhone without charger

The company stopped including the plug adapter in 2020. The decision was published this Tuesday (6).

This Tuesday (6), the Ministry of Justice published, in the Official Gazette of the Union, the order prohibiting the sale of iPhone without charger. The company must pay a fine of R$12 million.

According to the decision, there will be “application of a fine in the amount of R$ 12.274.500 (twelve million, two hundred and seventy-four thousand and five hundred reais), revocation of the registration of the brand's smartphones iPhone introduced on the market based on the model iPhone 12 and immediate suspension of supply of all branded smartphones iPhone, regardless of model or generation, unaccompanied by the battery charger”.

A Apple no longer included the socket device in the iPhone in October 2020, with the justification of “environmental protection”.
