Slack GPT promeincrease the usefulness of AI by integrating applications and services directly into the platform. Although the launch date has not yet been confirmed, the new AI will be available to business users immediately.

API is the acronym for Application Programming Interface; in free translation, it means Application Programming Interface. This technology allows communication between different software, allowing one application to use the resources and data of another. APIs can be used in different areas, such as social networks, databases, cloud services, among others.

The platform will offer tools such as AI-based conversation summaries and writing assistance, accessible with just one click. AI will also allow Slack business users to compose messages that are best suited for customers, adjusting the content and tone depending on the recipient. 

Slack says there are hundreds of AI applications that will be integrated into the platform, and the developer community will be able to create and build new solutions for any use case. 

The company bets that the conversational AI platform is the trend of the future. According to the report released by Slack, customers will be able to easily explore their data reliably and quickly. Thus, facilitating decision making. However, details about privacy and security were not highlighted by the company. 

The firm's CEO, Lydiane Jones, says that “generative AI has enormous potential to redefine how work gets done. The true power of Slack GPT is enabling AI to act on valuable data from a company’s most trusted resource: its own internal knowledge.”
