Promessa de Elon Musk

The sale of the blue seal is another of the changes made by the new owner of the social network, the billionaire Elon Musk, in an attempt to increase revenue. Twitter would be facing a drop in advertising budget.

Before Musk, the blue verification badge was only used by artists, celebrities, government officials and even journalists or media outlets, free of charge: all they had to do was fill out a form that would be analyzed by the company.

As soon as he took over Twitter, the billionaire decided to charge for verification and caused confusion with several fake profiles created on the network in the name of celebrities.
