WhatsApp announces option to edit messages already sent

The president of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, announced this Monday (22) that WhatsApp will have the option to edit sent messages. The edit tool will be available up to 15 minutes after sending the message. These messages will be displayed with the word "edited" next to them.

Who has never written a message to their boss with an error? Or did you say something you shouldn't have said in the middle of a fight? Well, the new WhatsApp will help resolve these 'gaffes'. 😜

To use the feature, simply press and hold the sent message and choose “Edit” from the menu.

According to a statement from Meta, the feature will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. To receive the new features, you must have the application updated.

It is worth remembering that, if you are unable to edit the message, up to two days after sending it you can delete the wrong messages for everyone. After that, the only option available will be “delete for me”.
