Malnutrition, pneumonia, malaria. These were just some of the causes for the hundreds of deaths of children from the Yanomami people, the largest indigenous reserve in Brazil. The health crisis caused the government to declare a public health emergency in the territory. Several reliable institutions are joining forces to help the Yanomami. Find out where to donate! ⤵️

One-stop Favelas Central (CUFA)

CUFA is a Brazilian non-governmental organization. Originally founded in 1999 by young black people from the Cidade de Deus favela, it is now present in all Brazilian states and in 15 other countries. The organization is contributing to the distribution of food to the Yanomami people.

The federal government adopted a series of emergency measures to rescue the Yanomami territory; Among them is the defense of airspace, with the creation of an Air Defense Identification Zone (Zida) under the control of the Air Force.
