The Forest Fire Detector monitors the microclimate, measuring temperature, humidity and air pressure. Furthermore, it offers accurate detection of the presence of fire and carbon monoxide, among other gases. The artificial intelligence incorporated into the sensor is capable of accurately distinguishing a real fire, avoiding false positives, explains Pedro Curcio, CEO of iNeeds.

Amazonas recorded 3.925 fires in the first ten days of September. This is what the National Institute for Space Research (Inpe), which monitors the situation, points out.
How does the device work?
When the sensor identifies signs of fire, it automatically sends an alert to the receiver located in the municipality's Civil Defense monitoring room, allowing a quick response to contain the fire. The device is designed to operate for long periods and uses clean energy, powered through a solar panel.
