♀️ Female protagonism on and off screen

Launched on the eve of International Women's Day, the miniseries has a strong female protagonism around you. Starting, of course, with the origin of it all: her book is written by Taylor Jenkins Reid, a female author, who has been gaining more and more spotlight in the literary market in the last years.

The production of the series is the responsibility of Hello sunshine, renowned producer of actress Reese Witherspoon. It is worth remembering that she was responsible for major successful series, such as 'Big Little Lies' and 'The Morning Show'.

On screen, the audience falls in love with the story of Daisy Jones, the lead singer of a rock band. The protagonist is played by the actress Riley Keough, who is the granddaughter of superstar Elvis Presley. The plot follows the group's trajectory, from their rise to success until their unexpected separation.

🎸 Pure 1970s juice: sex, drugs and rock'n'roll

The miniseries is a true dive into the aesthetics of anos 1970 – complete with bell-bottom pants, printed dresses and boots. The production also explores the intensities of the time, such as drug use, forbidden passions and betrayals, all of this surrounded by the universe of music.

Despite being a fictitious band, the group's songs were actually recorded by the actors, who had the challenge of studying music for artists to live. The album Aurora, which appears in 'Daisy Jones & The Six', was made available on audio platforms on Thursday (2), one day before the premiere of the miniseries.

If it depends on the sentiment on social media, 'Daisy Jones & The Six' has great potential to become a streaming darling. 🤍
