Jô Soares dies at age 84

Jô Soares, one of the most relevant personalities on the country's cultural scene, passed away this Friday in São Paulo, aged 84.

Jô was a very important guy for generations and generations of Brazilians. Sophisticated comedian, actor, writer, Jô had one of the most significant careers in the history of television in Brazil. (G1)

Jô had been hospitalized since July 28th at Hospital Sírio Libânes, in São Paulo, for treatment of pneumonia (Stay). He had been hospitalized since the end of July. Flávia Pedras, Jô's ex-wife, confirmed the death on social media.
