Getulio Vargas is portrayed in the 2014 Brazilian film, which covers the last 19 days of the former president's life. During this period, he was isolated in the Catete palace, in the south of Rio, while he was accused by opponents of being the mastermind behind the attack on journalist Carlos Lacerda, his political enemy.
