Elton John's farewell tour breaks record for highest-grossing tour in history 

With great successes like your Song e Hold Me Closer, extravagant clothes, a great story and one of the greatest artistic careers of recent times, Elton John broke box office records.

The British musician's final tour debuted in September 2018, but was interrupted by the pandemic and returned in January last year. So far, there have been 278 shows in the United States, Europe and Oceania.

Previously, the highest-grossing mark on a tour was Ed Sheeran, who earned £630,5 million from “The Divide Tour”.

The star has retired from the stage, but his musical career is nowhere near over. When he announced his retirement from performing, Elton John he stated, “I don’t want to leave the scene with a whimper, but with a big bang” and added that “I hope to be creative until I die.”
