The fight against corruption was Bolsonaro's main campaign banner in 2018 and has been propagated by members of his government in these elections as well. - DEMOCRACY: Macron warns of a supposed “crisis of Western democracies”. The warning applies to several countries, including the United States. In an interview with US network CNN, Macron said: “I hate lecturing people and saying: 'I'm worried about you'... but I believe that what is at stake is what we built in the 18th century.” (CNN)
