A carbon footprint is a measure of the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by an individual, organization, event or product. It is a way of quantifying the environmental impact caused by human activities and can include emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O), among other gases.
The tool works from a questionary. The user answers questions such as “how many times do you buy clothes per year” and “how do you purchase these clothes”, such as online or physical stores.
O Curto News replied the questionary and obtained a result between low and medium for the carbon footprint. The tool reports that the footprint obtained is 29% smaller than that of the average consumer.
