Coca-Cola is banned at PSG lunches, even though it is the team's sponsor, says French newspaper

Paris Saint Germain bans Coca-Cola at team lunches, even though it has been sponsored by the brand for 22 years. The decision was made by the team's new advisor.

Paris Saint Germain's advisor, Portuguese Luís Campos, hired a nutritionist to stay with the team full-time, as he had noticed that the club did not have one full-time.

The newspaper "Le Parisien” reported that the nutritionist's first change was to remove Coca-Cola and iced tea from his meals. The newspaper also explains that the nutritionist understands that these drinks do not contribute to the high performance that athletes need on the field. The athletes normally drank Coca-Cola before that because the brand has been a partner of the team for 22 years, and has a contract until 2024.

The PSG team has two meals together daily, a proposal made by Luís Campos.
