Pelé asks Neymar to remain in the Brazilian team and caresses Richarlison

Pelé paid tribute to Neymar after Brazil's defeat to Croatia in the World Cup. In a message on Instagram, the King of football praised: "his legacy is far from coming to an end." Neymar scored the goal in extra time, before being eliminated on penalties in the quarter-finals of the Qatar Cup. Pelé also made a comment on Richarlison's post: "you made Brazil smile".

“Keep inspiring us. I will continue to punch the air with happiness with every goal you score, as I did in every match I saw you on the field”, concluded the 'King' in a long message to Neymar Jr. on Instagram.

Pelé, who remains admitted to a clinic in São Paulo for a reassessment of his treatment against colon cancer identified last year, regretted the result (1-1 in 120 minutes and a 4-2 defeat on penalties) but sought to provide support to the 30-year-old player.

The PSG player achieved this record in 124 games, while Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé, did it in 92 games between 1957 and 1971.

After the elimination, Neymar cast doubt on his continuation in the national team by not 100% guaranteeing that he would wear 'Amarelinha' again. But Pelé encouraged the star to remain in the team.
