97% of Bolsonarists believe in victory; lulistas are 89%, says PoderData

This Thursday (6), results from the PoderData survey showed that voters who intend to vote for Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the second round are more certain of the candidate's victory than those who support candidate Lula, from the PT. Currently, according to PoderData, 52% of valid votes would go to Lula and 48% would go to Bolsonaro on October 30th.

The new PoderData survey also reveals that in the Brazilian electorate as a whole, 87% say they are sure of how they will vote – the rate includes those who intend to vote blank or cancel their vote.

Bolsonaro's campaign moving forward

The research results reveal that President Bolsonaro gains momentum at the start of the campaign for the second round:

“Even with a percentage below Lula's in the 1st round, Bolsonaro's voters are more engaged, more certain of their vote, more confident of victory. Part of the president's strategy will be to ride this euphoria before the 2nd round of elections. In this sense, the first days were good for Planalto, with symbolic gestures such as the support of governors – including the 3 largest electoral colleges.”
