Civil Police investigate Nazi attacks at MST training center in Pernambuco

The Civil Police of Pernambuco are investigating the attacks against the Paulo Freire Training Center, of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST), in Caruaru, Pernambuco. In the early hours of last Saturday (12), the walls of the place were spray-painted with the word "myth" and drawings of the swastika, a Nazi symbol. The center coordinator's house was set on fire - no one was home at the time of the attack.

“We are very sorry to have to make this report, as we have come out of a polarized and fierce electoral journey. Brazil and the Brazilian people called for attitudes and commitment to rescue democracy, the constitutional precepts of the democratic rule of law and an energetic stance against hunger, against violence, against hatred and against all types of prejudice. The Bolsonarists were defeated in the elections, but a minority, driven by intolerance, prejudice and hatred of class, race and gender, did not accept the results of democracy and are wanting to impose a third round on us”, informs the note released by the MST.
