Banana is thrown at Richarlison during the Brazil-Tunisia friendly, in yet another episode of racism in football

A banana was thrown towards Brazilian striker Richarlison during the friendly between Brazil and Tunisia this Tuesday (27), at Parque dos Príncipes, in Paris. Richarlison had just scored the Seleção's second goal, in the 19th minute of the first half, when he was the target of several objects thrown from the stands, including a banana.

Annoyed, the Tottenham player celebrated the goal with raiva alongside his companions.

The CBF reacted almost immediately to the incident through its social networks.

“Without our black players, we wouldn’t have stars on our shirts,” said the poster displayed by the Brazilian players before the match.

The first half was also briefly interrupted by the referee due to the use of lasers pointed in the direction of the players. The stadium's sound system asked fans to stop using these devices.

Last week, the Seleção players defended another of their attackers, Vinícius Júnior, who was the target of racist insults in Real Madrid's game against Atlético de Madrid in the Spanish Championship. The Spanish justice system opened an investigation into the case.
