China and Russia say “never” to nuclear war; nations are against NATO in Asia

After the diplomatic meeting with the presence of Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Russia, nations spoke out this Tuesday (21) about the fear of a nuclear war, amid increased tension with the West. The two leaders emphasized that a confrontation of this type would only leave losers, and should "never" occur. Earlier, nations expressed concerns about the presence of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Asia.

“The parties declare again that there can be no winners in a nuclear war and that the latter must never be unleashed,” said Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping in a joint message signed this Tuesday after meeting in the Kremlin.

Earlier, Russia and China expressed “concern” about NATO's growing presence in Asia, the presidents of the two countries declared in a joint statement signed this Tuesday (21), after a meeting in the Kremlin between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping .

“The (two) parties are very concerned about the increasing strengthening of ties between NATO and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region with regard to military and security issues”, indicated Putin and Xi Jinping, accusing the Atlantic Alliance of “undermining the peace and regional stability”.
