China's health measures against Covid-19 are the strictest on the planet: the country mandates compulsory quarantine for people who test positive, and PCR tests are carried out frequently.

The city of Shanghai was quarantined for two months during the spring following the country's biggest outbreak of the disease in two years.

Videos of the chaos at the Ikea store show families blocked by the store's closing glass doors.

This type of attitude is not uncommon in the country. On Friday (12), employees fled a building in Shanghai after news of a case of contagion, according to AFP.

China announced this Tuesday 2.368 new positive cases of covid-1 and continues to close its borders to foreign tourists.
