Cristina Kirchner: assassination attempt has global repercussions

The case of the attempted assassination of Cristina Kirchner, vice-president of Argentina, had global repercussions. The murder weapon had a bullet but did not fire.

O jornal New York Times published that the vice president is “perhaps Argentina’s most prominent leader”, but “a deeply polarizing figure in the country”. She also recalled the attack that Kirchner suffered during the trial on charges of having become corrupt when he was president, from 2007 to 2015.

Several Latin American leaders expressed their solidarity with Argentine Vice President Cristina Kirchner, one of them was former Argentine President Mauricio Macri.

Brazilian presidential candidates also sent messages of support
