Indigenous deputy denounces having suffered racism in a restaurant in Ouro Preto

Célia Xakriabá (Psol-MG) reported to the police and explained on social media that she was a victim of racism while having dinner at a restaurant in the city of Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, accompanied by two other indigenous women. She said that she was satirized and disrespected by a group of customers, but received support from the restaurant owners who insisted that the indigenous women stay there.

The first indigenous deputy in the state of Minas Gerais told the police that she was at the restaurant on Saturday (4) with two advisors when she heard a mocking phrase: “Look at how the indigenous women are now”.
