An acknowledgment of defeat accompanied by a speech that points out 'injustices', suggests Bolsonaro's allies, says Folha de S.Paulo report

Bolsonaro's allies would have already written a speech acknowledging defeat. According to reports, the document would not contest the results of the polls, but would cite “injustices” that the president suffered during his campaign.

There is an expectation that the defeated president will speak this Monday (31) and tomorrow (1).

“Official: you can no longer post news or videos with the title: Faz o L”, he wrote.

Last Thursday, the TSE had ordered the removal of disinformative publications about the elected president and also his retraction for having broadcast the content. Elected as the federal deputy with the most votes in this year's elections, Nikolas reacted to the defeat of leader Bolsonaro (PL) by stating that he will go “to the Northeast” and other regions “deceived” by the Workers' Party “more than ever”.

This afternoon (31), he also shared an alleged video of a fire and looting of businesses, associating the act with Lula's victory, without presenting any proof.

“Do not be afraid, we are the hope”

Nikolas is currently a councilor in Belo Horizonte. On his Twitter, which has more than 1,7 million followers, he acknowledged Bolsonaro's defeat.

After Lula was declared elected by the official vote count on Sunday night (30), Nikolas published a video to his followers asking them not to fear the result:

"The screams of celebration today will become screams of despair tomorrow“, launches the elected deputy. Nikolas also extols the number of voters of the current president, reaffirming his speech about “spiritual warfare”. “Bolsonaro left several soldiers there. We are 57 million. The cultural and spiritual war continues.”

👉🏽 Truck driver leaders minimize protests and defend election results

At least three truck driver leaders said that the protests on the country's highways bring together some drivers who support President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and are unhappy with the election results, but do not reflect the demands of the majority of the category.

According to them, the protests include protesters who are not truck drivers: “I don't see 100% of the category. These are people who are unhappy with the results of the elections. We are trying to understand where the movement is coming from”, said the president of the Brazilian Association of Motor Vehicle Drivers (Abrava), Wallace Landim, known as Chorão.

In relation to the images that circulate in WhatsApp groups and social networks, which talk about military intervention to reverse the result of the election, Chorão stated: “I don’t fight and I will never fight against the country’s democracy”. “I'm very sad that many people use the truck drivers' names. My line is more of pacification”, concludes the representative, who said he does not believe the protests will persist.

Wanderlei Alves, known as Dedeco, also sees protests as punctual. “I believe they have the right to protest, but they have to accept democracy,” she says. Dedeco opines that “if it is a strike to claim some of the class's rights, the class will have my support. If it’s a political strike, to disrupt Lula’s government, you won’t have my support.”

Plínio Dias, director-president of the National Council for Road Cargo Transport (CNTRC), said that there is no sign of a widespread stoppage of self-employed truck drivers. “I saw some videos and they are unknown people and I don’t think they’re even truck drivers either,” he pointed out.

“Once again, Brazilians showed that they want peace and tranquility.”

QuestionWhether there will be an investigation into any “political component” and connection of PRF operations to any determination by President Jair Bolsonaro, Moraes said any questionaction will be evaluated. “Both the electoral justice system and the regional electoral prosecutors will investigate whether there was a misuse of purpose, abuse of power or misinterpretation. If there was, this is an electoral crime.”

15h

“I don’t see it possible that guaranteeing public transport is just for one application. It favors democracy, it favors voters”, says Alexandre de Moraes about free public transport in most parts of the country.

15h

"Let's wait. The director of the PRF informed in writing and today at the meeting that operations were carried out based on the Brazilian Traffic Code. Any abuse, if characterized, involves civil liability, in addition to an electoral crime”, said Alexandre de Moraes about the actions of the Federal Highway Police.

15h

QuestionIn response to complaints about voters being prevented from voting through actions by the Federal Highway Police, Alexandre de Moraes said that the possible harm to voters was the delay at the polls, but there was no harm to the right to vote.” Moraes emphasized, however, that the case “will be investigated”.

15h

Regarding the limitations of PF and PRF operations, which could harm voters, Morais said:

“The PRF was determined not to carry out operations that could harm voter traffic,” he recalled.

Moraes recalled that the director of the PRF issued a service order saying that whatever was not conflicting, the operations would be carried out. “It will be investigated in detail whether there was a conflict,” said Moraes.

To the TSE, the director of the Federal Highway Police informed that this Sunday operations were carried out based on the Brazilian traffic code – prohibiting the circulation of buses with bald tires and in poor traffic conditions. According to Moraes, these operations delayed the arrival of voters, but no case prevented voters from reaching the polling stations. “Although it will be determined on a case-by-case basis.”

Moraes, however, said that “no vehicle had to return to its place of origin”.

Today's PRF operation was outlined in a meeting in Alvorada (The globe)

A report by O Globo states that the action by the Federal Highway Police that takes place on Brazilian roads, making it difficult to transport voters, began to be articulated on the night of October 19th. The core of Jair Bolsonaro's campaign met at Palácio da Alvorada and outlined the fundamental actions that should be taken in the final stretch of the second round, says the report.

One of them was precisely the action that has been taking place since the early hours of today: the heads of the bodies that assist the Electoral Justice, such as the Armed Forces, PF and Federal Highway Police, would be instructed so that their subordinates should be alert to the irregular transport of voters, especially in the Northeast.

In addition to a fine of 100 thousand reais and imprisonment, failure to comply with the Court's determination that there be no operations against public transport vehicles, this Sunday (30), could result in the public servant – in this case the director of the PRF – losing his position.
