Tax reform

Manifesto in defense of tax reform

A manifesto released this Tuesday (4) and signed by 67 economists defends the approval of the tax reform in the Chamber of Deputies. Among the signatories are former presidents of the Central Bank (BC) and former ministers of Farm.

“We need to approve the PEC 45 tax reform in 2023. Now, we have the best window for approval in recent decades — with political alignment between Congress, the Federal Government, the majority of States and Municipalities and the private sector”, argues the text. (CNN Brazil)

Miguel case

The Superior Labor Court (TST) sentenced Sarí Corte Real and Sérgio Hacker Corte Real, former first lady of Tamandaré and former mayor of the city, to pay R$386 for collective moral damages. Mirtes Renata and Marta Santana, mother and grandmother of Miguel Otávio, who died after falling from a building in Recife in 2020, they worked as maids in the couple's residence, but were paid by the city hall.
