Man injures six people with knife at Paris main train station

The authorities do not favor the terrorist trail.

The attacks took place at 6:45 am (2:45 am in Brasília), at Estação do Norte, said the same source.

The attacker was shot and was receiving medical attention at the police station.

At 8am local time (4am in Brasília), the exact number of injured was not yet known.

On Twitter, Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin thanked the police forces for “their courageous and effective reaction”.

Darmanin headed to the station this morning along with the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and the chief of police, Laurent Nuñez.
