The new Marvel film takes place in the quantum universe and once again portrays the story of the avenger (“Avengers” saga) Ant-Man, starring Paul Rudd.

The film maintains the dominant comic relief, only this time, the story is outside the “real world”; takes place almost entirely within the quantum universe, already covered in previous films.

Movie stars like Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer are back in the plot, as Hank and Jenet. This time, they receive more prominence than in the 2018 film and share screen time with the protagonist.

Promising villain?

This is the first time that the great villain of this phase of Marvel has been presented in a film: Kang the Conqueror, played by Kevin Feige. He previously appeared in the Disney Plus series Loki.

The character has great prominence in the plot and could become a major villain in phase 5 of the UCM (or MCU in the English acronym for Marvel Cinematic Universe), with several versions in the multiverse.

Stay tuned, because the film has two post-credits scenes – always present in Marvel films – that give clues to the future of the MCU.

Repercussion in the networks

Viewers are divided regarding the film. Some fans complain about the number of characters and lack of depth. Others praised and highlighted the potential for future films in the saga.
