Ipespe/Abrapel: Lula receives 49% of valid votes; Bolsonaro has 35%

Former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) has 49% of the valid votes in the first round of elections, according to an Ipespe/Abrapel survey released this Saturday, October 1st. Second place is President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), with 35%.

The PDT candidate, Ciro Gomes, appears in third place, with 8% of valid votes. Simon Tebet (MDB) comes next, with 7%.

In the stimulated scenario – the one in which blank, null and undecided votes are considered –, Squid remained with 46% of voting intentions, compared to the situation in the last survey, released on the 24th. Bolsonaro, in turn, fluctuated 2 percentage points downwards: it went from 35% last Saturday to 33% this Saturday (1), within the margin of error.

A Ipespe/Abrapel research consulted 1.100 voters across the country by telephone on September 30th. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points and the confidence rate is 95,45%. The registration code at the Electoral Court is BR-05007/2022. The survey was contracted by the Brazilian Association of Electoral Researchers (Abrapel).
