Electoral Public Ministry denounces Roberto Jefferson and daughter for attacks on minister Cármen Lúcia

The Public Electoral Ministry (MPE) denounced former federal deputy Roberto Jefferson and his daughter, also former deputy Cristiane Brasil, for attacks against the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Cármen Lúcia. Jefferson compared the minister to 'prostitutes', 'burglaries' and 'sluts' in a video published on social media in October, which landed him back in prison.

You must remember those bizarre scenes of Roberto Jefferson armed to the teeth attacking grenades and shooting at federal police officers who arrived to arrest him. Remember the case:

But even after being arrested, the former deputy supporter of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) repeated the offenses made to Cármem Lúcia at the custody hearing, when Roberto Jefferson apologized “to the prostitutes” for what he called a 'bad comparison'. The recording was shared by Cristiane Brasil, his daughter, who defended the impeachment of the STF minister.

Accusations

The MPE accuses the former deputies of insults. Electoral prosecutor Annunziata Alves argued that the attacks were 'premeditated, with disregard and discrimination against the condition of women' and that the minister was 'exposed to thousands of people' on social media.

The Electoral Public Prosecutor's Office decided not to offer the so-called criminal settlement agreement, used in infractions of lesser offensive potential, as it considered that it would be 'insufficient to repair the crimes'.
