The Central Bank (BC) updated, this Thursday (1st), the rules on value limits for transactions made by PIX, its instant payments systemsystem. (G1)

What has changed?

• limitations: Now banks are no longer required to impose a value limit per transaction, and are only required to set a limit per period of time. So, anyone who has a daily limit of R$3, for example, can use it all in a single transaction.
• Night time: It becomes optional for banks to offer customization of different night hours, for which the customer can request a lower limit for their transactions.
• PIX Withdrawal and PIX Change: another new feature is the increase in the limit value for withdrawing money via PIX Saque and PIX Troco:
  • The limit daytime goes from R$500 to R$3 thousand;
  • During the night, goes from R$100 to R$1 thousand.

INSS 'lifelong review'

The Federal Supreme Court (STF) decided this Thursday (1st), by 6 votes to 5, in favor of retirees and pensioners in the judgment on the so-called “whole life review” of the National Social Security Institute (INSS)system. (Estadão)
