New 6,4 magnitude earthquake hits southern Turkey

A new 6,4 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the southern region of Turkey, which had been hit hard by another tremor earlier this month.

According to the United States Seismological Center (USGS), the earthquake had its epicenter in the city of Uzunbag, in the state of Hatay and occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.

According to the Emergency and Disaster Management Authority (AFAD), the seismic movement occurred at around 20:04 pm local time (14:04 pm Brasília time) and could be felt up to 200 kilometers away, AFP journalists found.
