Police officers from 8 states are part of the National Force in Brasília

Military troops from Ceará, Bahia, Piauí, Alagoas, Rio Grande do Norte, Maranhão, Goiás and Rio Grande do Sul were transferred to Brasília to join the National Public Security Force. The measure is published in the Official Gazette this Tuesday (10).

The troops were offered by the governors to President Lula afters the acts of destruction caused by Bolsonarists on Sunday (8) , with the intention of preventing any attempted coup d'état.

Official Gazette published this Tuesday (10) the Ordinance No. 274 from the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), which deals with the mobilization of police officers from other states to the DF.

The document signed by minister Flavio Dino also says that the measure aims to “put an end to the serious situation withpromeenforcement of public order in Brasília”. The deadline for military police officers to act is January 31st.

The ordinance also defines that “it will be up to the National Secretary of Public Security of the MJSP and the commander of the National Force to adopt measures aimed at implementing the measure”.
