The complaint came from the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro and the State Court of Justice accepted it, ordering the preventive arrest of the German consul Uwe Herbert Hahn, accused of the death of her husband, the Belgian Walter Henri Maximilien Biot, on August 5th.

“The consul’s name was included on Interpol’s list of fugitives, as the accused left for Germany on Sunday,” the Rio de Janeiro State Court of Justice (TJRJ) said in a statement.

The consul was arrested on August 6 and had habeas corpus granted last week, but the judge responsible said that the MP missed the deadline to present the complaint; the Public Ministry denies it.
