Sweden's election results will only be known on Wednesday

In three days Sweden will know who the country's new president will be. The election was held yesterday (11) and the results will only be known on Wednesday (14).

Sweden begins today (12) a three-day period to determine the winner of the legislative elections held yesterday. The very close results, according to partial data, leave the right and the extreme right well positioned to conquer power.

In recent years, the country has faced several political crises. Just yesterday, electoral authorities informed that the final result will only be released on Wednesday because the numbers are very close.

According to partial data, after counting almost 95% of the votes, the Moderate Party (conservative) bloc, led by Ulf Kristersson, would win an absolute majority of 175 seats, against 174 for the left-wing bloc of the current social prime minister. -democrat, Magdalena Andersson. 

If the result is confirmed, the left would leave power after eight years at the helm of the country.

In the partial elections, the main candidate is from the nationalist and anti-immigration Swedish Democrats (SD) party, led by Jimmie Akesson. 

With a provisional result of 20,6% of the vote, the SD set a new record and became not only the largest right-wing party, but also the second largest party in Sweden.
