'Everything in Every Place at the Same Time' comes out ahead in the Oscar race with 11 nominations

The science fiction hit "Everything in Every Place at the Same Time" won 11 Oscar nominations, announced this Tuesday (24), and leads the race for the prestigious statuettes, which will be awarded in Hollywood on March 12. 🎞️

'Everything Everywhere at the Same Time' portrays the story of a family of Chinese-American immigrants who undergo a tax audit and become involved in an interdimensional battle to save the multiverse from a powerful villain. The production grossed more than US$100 million at the box office worldwide.

The film earned four nominations for its cast, including Best Supporting Actor for We Huy Quan, who appeared as a child in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” (1984), and Best Actress for Michelle yeoh.

Yeoh became the second woman of Asian descent nominated for lead actress in the awards show's 95 years. She competes with big names like Cate Blanchett, who has already taken home two statuettes.
