Brazilian tourist dies after being hit by ice in Ushuaia

A Brazilian tourist died this Thursday (3) in Argentina, after being hit by a sheet of ice that came loose from a cave on the outskirts of the city of Ushuaia. The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when visitors entered the so-called Jimbo Cave, a formation located in glacial areas and whose access is prohibited due to the frequent detachment of stones and ice fragments.

The tragedy was recorded by one of the tourists in a video, which shows the group entering the cave and the moment the plate falls on the visitor who was leading the expedition. In the images you can also see a sign warning you not to enter, located several meters before the cave. Rescuers confirmed the death and referred the case to a court in Ushuaia. The tourist has not yet been identified.
