The Kremlin uses World War II rhetoric to justify the invasion, which began on February 24, 2022. The offensive, according to Moscow, aims to “denazify” Ukraine.

Zelensky accused the Kremlin of “aggression and annexation, occupation and deportation, massacre and torture, bombing of cities and burning of localities.”

“The answer to all this will be our victory, the victory of Ukraine and the free world,” he proclaimed.

And this Monday, the European Commission presented to the bloc's countries a plan for the 11th package of sanctions against Russia, which will have as its main objective to prevent the measures from being circumvented, according to a source at the institution.
