Executive responsible for promoting the metaverse in Brazil is fired by Meta

Brazilian Caroline Dalmolin, Meta's partnership leader in Latin America and one of those responsible for Reality Labs in Brazil, was yet another victim of Big Tech's immense layoff list. Dalmolin went to Linkedin to announce her departure this Wednesday (7).

The executive was at the forefront of publicizing metaverse plans in Latin America and was recently one of the attractions at Meta Innovation Day in São Paulo.

Dalmolin said in publication who was informed of her departure this Wednesday (7), but her dismissal was stimulated by the layoff announced in May.

“Today, returning from my recharge (sabbatical) I received the official confirmation that I was one of the people impacted by the May layoff. Interestingly, the thought that surrounds me is: it was wonderful while it lasted, but it's time to move on!”
